SMART Dealer and Service going out of business!! (Re: sc White Plains)

I would love to form a Westchester Smart Club! We live in Tarrytown and love the Smart Passion we purchased in White Plains but now service in Englewood. The dealer is having a July 4th parade whice we are going to...if youd like to

The nearest smart center from the closed down White Plains store is the smart center Manhattan about 25 miles, followed by smart center Fairfield in CT some 37 miles away and then smart center Smithtown and smart center Roslyn a 60 mile trip.

Catena's sister store in smart center in Edison, NJ. is nearly 60 miles away!

Many dealers were depending on other car brands to subsidize their Smart franchise. Now all brands are in the tank.

As owners we would be OK if we just had a service manual so that we could take the car elsewhere for repairs. As it stands now, we are screwed when it fails. NOT IF...WHEN! A2Jack

Are you saying there is no service/repair manual that you can buy for the Smart? With every car that I have owned you can buy the factory shop manuals and the information to purchase them are in the owners manual.

The dealer gets paid well for warranty work by Smart.
