Smart fortwo model 451 1/24 scale model.....

This just came in the mail today. It's by New Ray in 1/24 scale and made from die cast metal and plastic. The color is not good but I am going to take it aprt and make my all black pure I sold in June. Nice little model for around $10. So happy to get a model 451 that's pretty much a US spec car....but for a few small details.

Looks a bit rough around the edges but still a nice model.

I think that is awesome! New Ray so it should be easily found just about anywhere, truck stops included.

Main thing for me is that the proportions look right, the doors open and there's actually a decent interior. I want!
To be truly awesome tho, this would come in varying body-panel colors swappable with other smart cars.

Does it come in a convertible?

And be careful showing that picture around. People might think the smart can actually be driven on a fence railing with room to spare.

In my opinion, the Minichamps smarts are the best "non-dealer" model available (barely).

They have cabrios too.

Psssst....Minichamos ARE the dealer model.

I challenge ANYONE here who has bought a model from the dealer to look on the bottom of it and report back with the manufacture.

New Ray is an awesome bang for your buck manufacture of diecast. (I've collected diecast cars my entire life, sold a lot so now I'm only down to about 4000-5000 cars )
