The only 1/24 scale 451 was the New Ray....or did I miss a 1/24 Minichamps??

I got mine from a US dealer on the west coast and if you want more info PM or E-mail me. They come in white, red and light yellow.

U R Right. 1/18 & 1/43 are the Minichamps that can also be had from the dealer. New Ray is 1/24 and obviously already known and then there is Maisto. I haven't found one myself YET...but I'm still looking.

Is the Maisto a 451 or 450? I have a 450 die cast and the Revell 1/24 plastic model kit of a 450....bbut was real happy to get a 451 at last!

The Maisto is a 450, check the site I gave for a long list of smart models.

Unfortunately Minichamps (dealer diecast models, 451 coupes and cabrios) no longer makes them so whatever's left you better get now!

Maisto makes the 1/24 451. I brought back a few on my last trip to Germany.

I picked up the smart tower at smart center Saarbrucken. It has a smart part # so you can get one thru your dealer. The stack o' smarts has a Bitburger Pils 1/87 on top, then a 1/64 Siku, then a 1/24 Maisto, then the 1/18 Minichamps I picked up in smartville, all of them held up by a 1/12 made by Dickie. The dickey may have come in an R/C version as there is a battery box and mounts for an electric motor. All were brought back from europe.

Yes they do come in R/C, too bad the only places that still have them are Czech sites and Dickie no longer makes them. I found one that is easily translated.

I never knew the Dickie R/C smart was that big!

I like the provisions for a battery and motor though, I was wanting to make a smartbusa R/C (brushless).

Was it difficult to disassemble and reassemble the New-Ray model for painting? I would like to do the same if I ever manage to get one of those.
