smart fortwo & Porsche ForFour?

While I'm working in Berlin, my wife came for the weekend and we were taking a stroll this evening only to come across a blue/silver fortwo hardtop similar to our cabrio, in its natural habitat of Germany.

Parked right in front of it was the first Porsche ForFour I've ever seen (sedan that is, their SUV is also of course). Yikes, that's just wrong!

I saw some of these at the IAA auto show and also on the A 81 Autobahn in September. Hideous would be a KIND way to put it. The turbo version is stupid fast at over 300 km/h, but surely they could have had the good sense to pay for a decent design (like Pininfarina or Bertone).

The rear headroom does not exist. Hopeless except for people under 5'6" tall. I'm 6'3".

Well Karl, is the (current) Mini a British car or a German one?

Interestingly, the paperwork from my purchase states, "Germany 85%, Japan 15%"

Does the term multi national company ring any chimes for you. The current Mini is a German car produced in England. In the ashes of what was the British empire what is left that is an English company? Every car that started the Indy 500 last year was English... but street cars, Morgan? I can think of no other.
Vokswagen builds the Jetta sold in the US in Mexico. Does that make it a Mexican car to you?

We live in a very small world today with the only constant being change. May as well get comfortable with it.

That be a Porsche Panamera, basically a 911 with 4 doors...with very similar performance...
