Gotcha!! I just wanted to mention a funny story. I was at my mechanics yesterday and he said "Those Smarts aren't selling. There's a bunch in the lot at Cherry Hill just sitting there!" I laughed at him and explained, "Mike, those are all sold already. Someone may cancel and the next lucky guy/girl in line can buy it." He said, Oh. LMAO _____________

Yeah, I went to a smart center and mechanic there said he had never seen anything like the demand they have been getting with this car and he has worked at 4 other dealerships. He said they have a waiting list of 150 and any time there is an orphan they just call down the list. If the first person doesn't want it then they go to the next one. They only had one in the show room and one in front for a test drive.

got the same reaction when i was at our smart center of indy a couple weekends ago.

people were saying "I thought they were only taking orders, but look at all the cars they have here?".....and then the staff would say "We ARE, THESE are all 'sold' smarts. sorry". yea, i had to laugh to myself......

Same at my dealer, they ahd about 10 cars that jsut werent picked up yet, some had already been paid for in full. They have about 60 n the orphan list as well.

Lots of fun and about 400 miles already.

smart center Bloomington is reporting a 22 month backlog now. ) Glad I got mine when I did, but this is just over-all a great sign of things to come for us American drivers. Truck sales have plummeted... I LOVE IT!

I'm glad we got ours too. I do hope that this is a sign of good things to come. One day, I would love to be able to drive around and NOT see Hummers, Escalades, Yukon XL, Suburbans, Expeditions with one driver. What a waste!!!

Yea, I'm sad I cannot get what I reserved. I don't have 2 years to wait. But I'm glad the Orphan list is flying.
