Smart for the Geriatric set

I'm now 3 weeks into my total hip replacement (too much basketball as a kid, I'm "only" 49).

Happy to report that at a height of 6'2" I can safely get in / out of my smart , sit comfortably and not break my hip precautions (FYI: you have a limited amount of allowable movement of your hip and leg or you will dislocate the hip and the surgery has to be redone). Hope to be driving in 2-3 weeks. Add this to the list of amazing things you wouldn't think the smart was capable of !

BTW, I've got too much time on my hands or I likely wouldn't have started this thread.

Wow, thanks a lot, that was FAST! Thanks too for the good wish. I think the toughest part of this whole ordeal is getting my smart back from my wife !

You mean trying to get "HER" smart away from her

Nah, the smartie was supposed to be mine, but . . . . . Oh, the things we do for love.

Just remember, "possession is 9/10's of the law!"

And now with my hip, I can't even run after her when she takes the keys. This is getting depressing.
