Smart Golf Cart?

I haven't made it widely known here, but one of the main reasons I bought a Smart was that it would fit in our golf cart garage. We live in a VERY restrictive private community, where any kind of outdoor parking, is frowned upon. As I'm a hard core car junkie, this has required that I store my 29 Ford street rod off-site. I've never been happy with that arrangement, so ordered a Smart as soon as I knew one would fit. We sold my bride's Miata a month ago, and "patiently" waited for the Smarts imminent arrival. Well, we took delivery today, and it's currently resting nicely in a 10' X 7.5' space. It is a very tight fit, but the Smart makes it with a few inches to spare. Length is fine, but the door width is pretty restrictive. I have to come up with an idiot-proof way to guide the car into the garage, so one person can park it, but already have a plan. If it works, I'll post more pictures. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how it's worked out so far.

BTW, the Smart is just plain fun to drive. Not a high powered street rod or modern muscle car, but that's not what it's meant to be. It fits our needs very nicely indeed............

LOL, Smart parking eh? That's awesome...except that it is frowned upon to park outside. Not to sound rude, but I think the leaders of your community need to take a chill pill.

Looks good. If you can get in and out. Does it really matter. You have your ROD, the other car, and your SMART.
Screw the golf cart. Drive your smart on the course.

There's just enough room to open that big Smart door and squeeze out. Not doable for the very large tho. I'm 5'11" and 200+ pounds, and it works for me. Just need to be sure I don't gain too much Holiday weight

OK - to veer you slightly off course (pun intended...get it "golf course?")...I have a few questions. '29-'31 or '32? Steel or Fiberglass? Only reason I ask....well...here's a shot of my panel swap.

I like rods too.

Also I got clearance to drive mine on the course by my work, only problem is I don't play anymore - haven't in almost 20 years.

Yes, the parking situation here really sux. We moved here after my mom passed away, and moved my elderly dad in with us. It's great for him, with plenty of activities. It's a compromise for sure, and I wish the HOA wasn't run by Nazis, but we get by for now at least.

HEY! That's one reason why I moved to the country - no HOA to try to take my home away if I have to leave on an emergency for whatever reason and don't get a chance to mow my lawn, or if I want to work on my car in the driveway - I can. Also to move out near my parents to take care of them if the need arises.

I don't play golf any more either. Gave it up when I retired from corporate life, and had to start paying to play. I never was any good either. It's a 29 2 door that's mostly steel. The fenders and splash pans are plastic. What lurks in your garage? I need to see more. I had a 32 three window, but recently traded for a sedan when my dad came to live with us. Here's a few pics.

'30 Chevrolet - lil 142 blower to keep it streetable, not much overkill - of course much like I'm sure yours is, an updated drivetrain like disc brakes all around, auto transmission w/overdrive - 700R4 for the highway but crazy 4:56 gears to keep out ahead of everyone when pulling away at lights. Still working on finishing it on knick knacks like small interior details & A/C but I snapped this pic of it while I was at a show about 2 weeks ago.

There's a few other cars tucked away in the garage that'll post up next time I see someone post a pic of something similar on some other thread. (vette, rustang)
