smart at the LA Auto Show

Hey everybody! I just got back from the press days at the LA Auto Show. I have a few things that you might be interested in.

Firstly, I had an interview with Dave Schembri. Don't expect a whole bunch, he was very hard to get ahold of (but friendly to chat with):

thanks, you know the funny thing is they had a red car there and i should have photographed it, but I was so bummed that it didn't have a red interior that i skipped it. looking back, i should have snapped some photos.

It is a really nice cockpit design.

Take a very close look at smart's display cars. The door pockets are not mesh and the dash doesn't have the "check gas cap" lamp.

Yep, 2008 smarts with 2009 panels!

Downstairs with all the aftermarket tuner stuff there are about a half dozen smarts, including displays at Ed & Als Audio, the Beverly Hills smart center manager's personal tuned model with a working key in the back, and couple with gull wing doors and lots of other mods at the smart Madness' booth.
