Similar story from me, but I will spare you. I'm so excited I'm breaking out in a rash.

Ssaw my first smarts in Germany in 2000 on a European Harley Tour and fell in love with them. Continued to be facinated by them on trips to England over the years. Now will soon be driving my own.

Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ten years ago we were not at war...(well we really were we just did not know it)

Ten years ago gasoline was much cheaper and we were in a serious Large Fast vehicle mindset

Ten years ago Global warming was not a religion (not trying to start a debate)

Ten years ago the Smart car had no chance in America (Even if it could have met EPA CAFE and DoT safety specs)

I have a serious feeling this single car is going to ignite a new trend and I think the Big three are going to be very late to the table

The conspiracy theorist in me thinks RP and Dr Z have been waiting to play this card for a long time....

Sat in Mine today

Still all cardboarded up to insure the first scufs are mine. The leather seats had cloth inserts on the backs by the way. My lady has gone to see her sister. A weekend without adult supervision, why are they not ready...

Fred, I agree the smart will start a new trend. However I'm not sure if the cache of MB can be replicated by another brand that enters the micro market in the USA.

Buyers of the smart are individualists who dare to be different from the flock (IMHO).

License plate frame motto?

"dare to be different"

Sounds good for the SCoA license plate frame.

It's not so much being different as it is not being the same which is the same but with a difference and that is the exact same thing as being different.

... now I feel more like I did than when I first started.

Maybe I'll just skip the plate frame philosophy. The seventies were pretty rough on me.
