Smart in snow

OK,
So last night Chicago got hit hard with a snow storm. Against my wifes wishes I took the Smart out for a 50 mile round trip.

I wanted to see how it did. Well, I think it did well. My biggest worry was the other drivers (at least the dumb ones).

Traction control and ESP work great and the car pretty much goes where you want it to even in deep stuff.

ABS does a nice job as well.

It seemed to take off faster then a lot of cars and trucks.

So over all I think it can do the job. When it gets really wicked I still have the 4 wheel drive Durango.

News from a smart in Extra Snowy Alaska

Just got this note from one of our customers in Juneau, Alaska... There's a neat picture of her on our SOLD page:

http://www.asmartcar.com/sold.html

that has both her and her smart in front of an glacier. Need to click her picture (Stock 54823) to see the glacier and I'm too stupid to know how to show it here. Anyway, her comments were great below.

Ron Gaus, asmartcar.com

"Hi Ron,
... On another note I just wanted to tell you how wonderful the car drives on snow and ice especially now that we have the snow tires. The ABS is impressive. We are having quite a winter and Smarty is holding her own.
Thanks,
Cindy

How much snow were you driving in? Do you have any pictures? Would you drive it in any weather if you didn't have the Durango? Thanks!

Chicago got 6"-12" and it was a whiteout in certain areas. Very encouraging news!

That is good to hear that it was good in a fairly good sized snow blast. Hey, anything more than that you just stay home!

I wonder if you can put a plow on that baby. The I could make some money to buy a second one.
