I've been wanting to lug my 10' board down to Oceanside with the smartmobile. I have those soft foam rack-pads for the Jeep...

I was kind of wondering what the 70 mph wind would do to the board, foam pad, plexitop combo? probably would sound like Armagedon is coming!

oh well, maybe the sticking-out-the-back-hatch-with-bungee method would work better?

With the board on top you might look for a hill with some thermals. You might be able to soar to the beach. Now that would be rad.
