Smart Tippers down, Canal Dumpers next?

Just got an email from a colleague:
Sent: Friday, July 24, 2009 7:49 AM
Subject: Smart game

There is a new game in the Netherlands. Unfortunately the link is in Dutch, however it states that it has become popular for people (vandals) at night to walk by the canals in Amsterdam and when they see a parked smart car, they lift it and throw it into the canal. Several have been declared totalled already. So be careful.... :-)

I must be showing my age when these reports of Smart vandalism occur.Really,it doesn't seem that long ago when the rumors were flying about the pranksters doing all those bad things to VW beetles.Guess now the hooligans have the Smart to pick up and move to what they consider funny locations.

Except now days New Beetles are too heavy (my TDI weighs 3400 lbs!)

I guess when you think about it, smart is the new Beetle. Rear engine, light weight, efficient, small footprint, inexpensive to buy and maintain, and loads of modifications to make each unique.

Essentially, fun to own, drive, and play with.

Distress throws craze in Amsterdam by Theo Kuijpers AMSTERDAM - from Amsterdam police force makes himself seriously looks concerning a new craze in the capital where parked auto' s of among others the mark distress without only reason in the gracht are thrown. So-called ' Distress smijten' takes place mainly in week end, as many young people in Amsterdam to step its.

The police force in Amsterdam does not want to these form of vandalism himself in the publicity bring because feared becomes that the rage gets out of hand then entirely. However, agents supervising are particularly in week end extra attentive on from Amsterdam ditches. Of the victims of ' Distress smijten' Casper the young, which was recently rung by the police force from its bed, is after onverlaten ' s night its car in the water of the Oudezijds Achterburgwal had pushed. " The carriage stood haaks parked with the back to water.

That is possible because the distress is this way small. The police force rang me awake with the question if I want there even naartoe go. And indeed the car was under water verdwenen." " Some weeks for that had happened the same with the distress of my partner. In both cases were the distress total loose verklaard" , thus the young. At the distress centre in Amsterdam an employee confirms that one some times have been within limited time faced with this form of vandalism.

Some of those words are in English?

Great, I live in the Chain o' Lakes area. I better park mine a distance from any of the 10,000 of Illinois' bodies of water.

I think I'd rather have tipping but would love to have neither. Knock on Wood

People say the same in other places!

Even on X-Box Live they always say Neosporin before they attempt to say the real thing. And nobody pronounces it like I do.

Neon-spinn-aaaazz is how I say it..
