smart vs. Possum

I have the worst luck with new cars. My matrix was nick named "jinx" if that tells you anything, and I think my smart is Jinx jr. Last night on my way home from the dealer (90 miles) I hit a possum, and almost hit a skunk. The smart is nimble enough to dodge most road kill, but the possum made a bad turn. In my head I could see my brabus body kit shattered all over the road, but when i got home i looked at it in the ligh and not a scratch! There was a little mud where the possum tail hit my body kit and that was all that was visible. However it did crack the under body "protection" plastic. Oh well bound to happen sooner or later. it is barely cracked, but is still rigid. The only reason i noticed was, the possum fur was hanging out of it. I guess the body kit has more clearance than I thought. I will post pics when i get it back to Galveston.... maybe sooner. Even though there is not much to see.

Hey, At least you got it out of the way.
Most folks who report roadkill hits do it within the first 300 miles of ownership on here. In fact is how we first met a few of the members here.

Lucky for you it wasn't an armadillo or your smart would be totaled and you'd be in the hospital.

I had a deer actually jump over the front of the UFO, the right rear leg hit the right windshield post, all I really saw was a brown flash across the windshield and a bump when the leg hit the car. No damage, other than scaring the crap out of me.

Take it to the Road Kill Cafe to cook it up for you? Their slogan is 'you whomp it, we grill it'.
