Uh oh, now I've done it.

Easy, here's just one example:

Literally countless more spaces in SF that the Yaris will never fit in (nor will the Fit fit in ) no matter how great a parker you think you are. And yes it is a hassle, you'd be seeking the same ol spaces Minis (and there are tons of Minis here) and others are parked in.

Smart being used as it was designed. I am sure that is why also it is popular in Europe and other densly populated areas. Good shot.

That's cute. You don't think that would annoy the people coming out of their garage since their probably was never a car there before? Just curious..not being a wise guy.

Might be an annoyance to the garage people. Hopefully they wont wack the Smart going in or out. I can see San Fran. changeing parking ordnances now too. Been 30 years since I was there but I am sure it is worse now than before for parking anything.

Just to be accurate, this (and several others) were taken by KeyserSoze and are in his thread "Parking 'Smart'! (pics)"

Oh I doubt it is first car most have found in the tiny spot between the driveways, it is just the first that has really fit and they won't be calling the DPT to ticket and/or tow because they are blocking the driveway So considering that I'd think they wouldn't be too annoyed (plus I'm sure they've found motorcycles there before as well).

I'm not worried much about them 'wacking' the Smart, as bobnyuma mentioned, we do check to make sure the car really fits and there is clearance - and again, it is way better then the usual scenario of thoughtless people actually encroaching when they park with cars that do not fit and cause a real problem.

Sadly that would be illegally parked in Seattle. Here you have to allow 3' on both sides of the driveway in order to be legal.

That is horrible - there would be only a fraction of the available parking in cities like SF or New York if that were the case - even scooters would be screwed

they should market that Yaris to people with insomnia. should induce a deep, mind-numbing coma in mere moments!!

I dont know the city codes, but I do believe they copy each other alot. And California, being a trend setter in many things, it just might be illegal there as well. I would check the municaple codes as well there SmartAzz. They may never have had to ticket people much before for this type of parking. Just a thought.
