Is smart your only car?

I was wondering is the smartcar your only means of transportation or do you have a secondary car?

if it is your only vehicle, does it meet all your needs?
thanks...

Actually, the smart will be my secondary car - my primary is a Suzuki Boulevard C50T. the smart will take its place when it's too wet to ride the bike. My wife says she'll park her Ford Escape in the summer and use the smart as her commuter, but it'll still be a secondary vehicle.

It will be my only car when it arrives this summer. It will have a little less storage space, but I will adjust. Two nice benefits are that you don't have to help people move (like when I owned a pickup truck), and it's a great way to get out of being a carpool driver.

When it arrives, it will be my primary commuter vehicle. I have a '08 Miata for fun and my wife has a '07 CX-7 for long trips or if we need more room.

Mazpride!

I own a show/track 05 RX8. Primarily a track car, but I put it in shows too because it's easier to get sponsors that way. When I get my smart I'm gonna dump a few thou into it and enter it in shows alongside my 8.

My 8 gets horrible mileage now because of all the mods I've done, so I wanted to buy a commuter car, but look stylish at the same time. I debated on buying a Yaris after my girlfriend bought one, but they just looked too normal for me. Plus the Yaris club forum isn't full of car enthusiasts, just kids who bought a Yaris because it was the only car they could afford. So I put my $99 down early last year and am currently waiting delivery which should be only a few months away.

Yeah, I like this forum Throwdown. It's a good mix of people who really know what they are talking about (like Fred) and others who just like the car. I also like the work friendly rule here. I've been to other car forums where the language just turns me away.

My wife gave me the Miata for Christmas, so I'm waiting for good weather to really test it. ;)

I looked at the Yaris, but I used to have a Scion xA and the Yaris is pretty much a clone. The things that made me give up the xA are all there in the Yaris. Of course, they are there in the smart fortwo as well. I may end up biting the bullet and getting a BMW 1 series in April when they come out.

I cannot decide if I'm going to keep my '02 Mercedes SLK. I love it, but it's payed off and the concept of getting $20k in cash is tempting. I wouldn't mind driving Smart as primary car. It will definitely be a change for me, but I'm not sacrificing much except a bit of luxury, performance and my drop top. I basically had decided to keep it and of course someone just called me today saying they want to drive up from San Diego to buy it....what to do!
