Fake, no reflections on the water, like the boat in front of the car. Interior to bright.

There is a reflection off the smart. The boat's lighter color and reflective material makes for more pronounced reflection.

Its a black smart with open windows, Nothing to reflect like the white boad with a large reflective stripe.

If the flash is bright enough to light up the boat, it should be able to light up the red interior,

But the lit up hadlights gives me other reasons to go Hu?

humm, maybe low tide and got stuck went for help and the tide came in before they could get it out and went home to sober up and then report it stolen the next day.

that did happend to my mother in 1968 on galviston island with the 1965 ford gallixy. but it was not that far under water. just up to the tops of the hubcaps. have pics of it some where. tow truck pulled it out after we got help. we went down the beach for a long time it was fine when we left
got back and it was just touching the rear wheels she got stuck trying to get out. all was well.

My first thought was 'Photoshop', but if it can be confirmed, then perhaps it's just unnatural lighting (someone spotlighting from the shore?) that's making it look doctored?

Actually, if you look closer, you can make out what looks like reflections of the side mirror and the tridion.

Maybe this is a smart for someone whose DDE was extended indefinitely for unknown causes...
