Oh my goodness the Chinese have some balls. Check out the rear seats and front engine. I'm dumbfounded.
Rear seats? Is that what they're calling that?!

I love that crash test video that plays on sidebar. I guess it's supposed to prove how safe their cars are, but unfortunately it's obvious that dummy had it's legs crushed pretty bad.

If you collect fine watches, this should be of no surprise to you. At least in this case, they don't try to sell the car as a "genuine" smart in souvenir shops in Time Square.

China, as a developing country, has a long way to go when it comes to copy right, patent, and intellectual capital enforcement.

However, comments about the Noble as a death trap are all speculations. It is unfair to assume the car is unsafe just because another Chinese car flunk the test. It would be like showing a Maybach interior and assuming the smart interior will look the same.

Americans might not want to buy a China produced car yet. But there are plenty of countries around the world that will. If you ever been to a third world country (say south America or Africa), I'll bet over there those cars will be mighty attractive.

China's car industry is still in its infancy - just like Japan and Korea and even America once was.

I remember seeing someone who had just purchased a Chinese Scooter that on the surface looked great, but upon closer inspection, it was falling apart with less than a few hundred miles on it.

I don't think anyone dies from a defective Chinese MP3 player, but cars and Scooters are another story. I would assume that a Chinese car or scooter is going to be unsafe until proven otherwise. Better safe than sorry ... or dead.

Did you notice the flip-up video screen built into the dashboard in the very first video clip above, posted by gusfraga? Hey, they've got nav.... and a pretty slick implementation at that, too.
