The smart car we love so much is from Europe and has been there since 1999 so it's only natural for the leading smart car magazine to be Euro dominant until now.
I feel that now is not the time to sit back and judge but a time to pave the way to the new future of smart in the USA and if you look at what our market here in the United States has achieved since launch it's actually quite spectacular and over shadows Europe in terms of excitement, events and after-market products.
Smartimes Magazine has always made it clear that they are unbiased with regards to geographic location and that it is a magazine by smart enthusiasts for smart enthusiasts.
So lets continue to lead the way and make this magazine our own because I for one would love to see more content from across the United States but we have to stand up and make it happen.
James.
Absolutely, James!
The Napa Valley trip is coming up in the next couple of weeks, I'll jot down my thoughts and sights along the way through Calistoga and the other sights... mebbe take in a wine tasting or two, definitely do lunch in one of the hot spots there. I'll take lots of pics and write up a good story to cover it and see what comes of it. At the very least, it'll be a blast! Thanks to you and the others here for the ideas and inspiration to have even MORE fun with my smart than I had thought originally!
I think thats a great idea and I personally would love to read about your trip to the Napa Valley.
Make sure you take lots of high resolution photos.
This is what I feel is great about the smart car, it unites people from all over the world with varying backgrounds around one common interest and I think the Smartimes Magazine can give us the perfect outlet to share these things.
The new issue of Smartimes includes an Interview with Dave Schembri, An article about Chicago Smarties, 451 Mods, An article about Orlando's 1st Ann Party, An article about Suncoast Smarts in FL and reader's Rides from the USA along with articles from Europe.
Keep the submissions coming and get your club, your smart and your events published in the next issue!
I have to say that the Exclusive Interview with David Schembri sounds pretty exciting, has any other website or magazine managed such an interview before now?
