I don't believe this event has any involvement by smart USA at all. It is being put together by the 451 smart fortwo forum.

Just got my e-mail notice from the 451 site. This should make some of you folks from that end of the country happy.

Enough wining about how far away events are. The only part of the country that really hasn't had a major event so far (I think) is New England.

I wish it great Success and the standard for large events so far is around 100 cars. You guys should be able to break at least the 150 cars mark in that part of the country.

I did the survey too. I pointed out that Friday is not a good day for I-15 north from SoCal. Seems that is when everyone wants to head to Vegas. And Sunday afternoon is just as bad, if not worse, coming back south on I-15 into SoCal. Past experience speaking here. Sunday morning is okay as most of the gambler/drinkers were up late Saturday night and usually leave that afternoon (Sunday).

Of course I'm loving this since the speedway is about 10 miles from my house. But for all of you that can't go you can bet I will post many pics, for all that can go it should be lots of fun. I personaly think it should be held in March. The weather is better and that scares me since I don't drive my smart in the rain and like ckgonsk said it snowed here last year on Dec 17, 4-6 inches in some parts of town, as much money as I have into my Smart it's real close to being show car only. I ain't driving it in the snow. Pray for nice weather....

I had all the dates open but traffic to Vegas from Phoenix is always heavier on Friday too.
