I used to see one or two a day. But, for the last few months I haven't seen any!

THe most I have ever seen in one day was 100, But that was the Midwest Rally so I guess that doesn't count. I think I saw three in one day in the wild, but that was only once. Otherwise I might see one once a month.

i see on average two per day in my area, and the really sweet thing is this couple not far from where i live has a White and sliver cabriolet. One day in a slew of errands i saw 8 Smarties. That is a record, and i am with Suze, i get excited, blow my horn and give the thumbs up every time i see one.

I'm up to about 3 a day in the wild, not counting my own, my dad's or the neighbor's 3. With those it is around 9.

Oh, and the "What a dumb poll." voters. Shame on you. You are obviously a visiting troll who doesn't share our "smart" enthusuasm.

Bum-bling-B, y'all have a HIVE over your side of the panhandle, apparently!

A few months ago, I saw the same smart for four consecutive days. And, haven't seen another in the wild since then. The owner apparently was a visitor and has since moved along. I was beginning to think I had a smart in the neighborhood, but no.

I typically go several months between sightings, and am only 60ish miles from BBB.

Our delivery guys tell me they see smarts about once a week. But, they're DELIVERY guys ... they're out and about a lot more than I am. We deliver to a radius of over 100 miles (excepting South I guess it's a semicircle.)

In Columbus, OH I see at least 4 every day. One is in my neighborhood, and 3 are in the parking lot at work. We're all honkers/wavers. Reminds me of getting my first Beetle in the 70's--everyone waved when they saw another one.

NCC - I was on a 12 hour shift today and came to work in the dark and still haven't headed home yet so they are hard to spot in the dark(actually been gone from home 15 hours so far, day isn't over yet, should close out with a 17 hour work day).

During lunch today alone I saw 2 driving to lunch - one was either Paul or Mike (bruiser config, blue/black) and the othhr was Dana (black/silver). This was a whole 3 or 4 miles one way to lunch.

I always see the tomato parked near my mom's apartment building in NYC. Occ'ly I'll see another Smart while driving, tho not as many as I'd have thought, given how much I drive.

In Silicon Valley...

...94040 to be precise, I see 5-ish a day. It is to the point where it has started making me think about another car. One of the things I liked about my smart is the uniqueness. A neighbor has one, and a couple of guys at work, so there are three in the same parking lot most days. A few months ago, if pulled up next to a smart at an intersection, we would smile and acknowledge each other. Many people don't do that anymore.

I'll also note that I read somewhere that my zip code has more Priuses than any other.... The place is lousy with Priuses....
