smarts on the race track!

Our club had a day (well, a piece of a day) today at the Lowes Motor Speedway (formerly known as Charlotte Motor Speedway) - 31 or so smarts showed up to run 3 laps around the track. An awesome time! There are some pics in my gallery (more to come), and a full video, located here, in the Carolinas forum.
We were allowed to get up to 70+ on the track (thankfully, since the turns are steep enough to push you off at 40 or less, and you feel like you are ready to tip over until you get past 50 or so).

It's depressing as I would have loved to do that but would be insane to drive that far from Raleigh and back in one day.

Red Roller,

Hmm, a 320 mile RT drive in one day is insane?

As an event participant COLOR ME INSANE as socializing with fellow smart enthusiasts over lunch at Sonic
and the LMS experience was well worth it!!

Keep taking those pills for depression and let us know when that 1.5 mile oval with 24 degree banked turns opens in Raleigh. Sorry that you missed it.

Fred, too bad you aren't that insane - you would have been in good company. We had folks from the shore, from the Triangle area, from all over. Made my 2-hour trek look like a trip to the local Mikey-D's.

Ah, well, there is always the Dragon...

Man I need to post more here. Check out the photo page at www.dfwsmart.org. We were at Texas Motor Speedway in April. We had a crapload of pics, some owner vids (on the photo page) and my video production company is cutting two promos for TMS in which we will be featured.

The bama smarties are doing the same thing at Talladega. Some of you closer by might be interested. If you need more info you can message me or call smart center Birmingham 205-985-4200.
