I called a bit ago, to say hi and introduce myself. They did receive cars yesterday. I am already having a brain snap and don't remember how many, but she did say 5 were for test-driving and invited me to come see them.

I posted this question on another thread, but when asking if she had any idea..........(you know, where I was in line, and after telling her that I reserved 04/01 and configured 11/09/07, she said I would receive a call confirming the configuration (huh?) and once I said go (wasn't that what I did on 11/09?) the car would first (first??) go into production and then I would be contacted....

now that sure hasn't been my understanding after reading these posts, but I understand it is what it is.......

any thoughts?

Beth,

You should have received an e-mail very quickly after completing the 11/09 confirmation; that e-mail "confirms" your confirmation. Nothing further until you get word the car is on the boat, I think.

agree with jwight

the next call you should get is the car is set up for delivery to the dealer; she should have your VIN# and just confirm that it matches your confirmation you got by email from smartUSA ... as said on another thread, my dealer could 'see' my car but could not confirm delivery yet ... if you got the email (I confirmed on the same day BTW 11/9) you're all set for now

Yes, I did get an instant confirmation dated the same day 11/9. Ok, so it's a wait and see, which is fine. The GM just made it seem like I was still at step 2.

First post here. I just called Universal up and spoke with someone very helpful named Adam. He suggested that if you are interested in a test drive, to schedule an appointment. Don't know if that was any help at all, but just thought I'd toss it out. Man my wife and I are psyched. I'm going to trade in my 300C when our number is up (1226).
