I can't help but laugh at some of the names they chose. You would think that if there were a name they really wanted that was taken they would just try and buy it.

This will likely remain my home site. I think there is some opportunity for an OEM forum, there are lots of OEMs that have forums (Dell for example).

My experience with the MINI sites has demonstrated that the OEM sponsored forum will generally be of less value since there will not be the free discourse of ideas, issues and objective criticism of the marque. Also, the aftermarket community will not be paricipating. The real value of the independent forums (eg NorthAmericanMotoring and MINI2) is the discussion of problems, fixes, and aftermarket enhancements that are opposed by the manufacturer. As aftermarket vendors begin participating in this forum, the added value of SmartcarOfAmerica over the factory site will become apparent.

I thought that was too model specific. Hopefully they'll eventually offer a Roadster again.
