Is the smartusa Website "Updating"?

just tried to get into the smartusa 'build your smart fortwo' but it takes me to the actual 'configuration' site and then give me an 'error message'

anyone else get this? maybe they're 'Updating' the info for the 2009 Models?

Got as far as choosing model but it offers no choices yet. The * on pricing has changed:
[*]

Quote:
For current model year [used to read 2008] only. Prices are not guaranteed and are subject to change without notice. Excludes tax, title, registration, destination charge, options and other dealer fees.
Here's how it used to read in full:

It does look like this might be it! All the guess about what will be, might be over soon.

have you 'configured' your #1555 yet? just curious, since i ordered mine on 3/16/08 (1536) and MY DDE just recently moved UP to July-Sept 2009.

this is all getting really 'out of wack', especially since NYC folks are getting theirs in 6-8 months. i emailed 'smartusa' and each time they tell me that the larger cities (NYC for one) have a LONGER wait time.

really.........

They defintely dont as we have 7 smart dealers here in the NYC metro area that I could choose from when I configured my smart yesterday. I reserved 6/7 and configured 8/14. DDE of 10.08 to 12.08

A raise in price is really going to suck, especially for everyone who's waited so long.

As an example, GM has announced its 2009 price increase:

Secondly, the 3.5% price increase is an average figure across all GM cars and trucks. Not all prices will be going up 3.5 percent. Some vehicles will be higher, some will be lower. For instance, sources at Saturn tell SaturnFans.com that the pricing for the 2009 Saturn Sky will only be going rising 1.2 percent.
