Sales: There are 6,159 smart owners in the United States as of April 30, 2008. Daimler AG announces smart USA sales figures the week following the last business day of each month. Sales figures are posted on

Safety: The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety announced this month the smart fortwo achieved the highest ratings for front and side crash worthiness. This is fantastic news for smart USA, its customers and future customers. To learn more about the ratings, click here (

Socializing: smart USA officially launched the smart fortwo to lifestyle press in New York City on April 22, 2008 (Earth Day). The event allowed New York City-based press to learn about the smart fortwo in a uniquely branded event in the Big Apple.
