Based upon your continued enthusiasm for the smart brand, we would like to invite you to preview and explore the website, and tell us what you like (and don’t like!) before the site is unveiled to the general public.

www.smartusainsider.com was designed to help smart enthusiasts stay connected to each other and the smart brand, and will compliment information provided on our corporate website – www.smartusa.com. www.smartusainsider.com offers smart enthusiasts many social networking features, including starting and posting to message boards, forming local groups, uploading video and photos, creating your own smart page, blog and building your network of smart USA Insider friends.

Though www.smartusainsider.com is not designed for product or technical troubleshooting, the site will give you access to special reports directly from smart USA Headquarters. For immediate technical or product assistance, please call 1.800.smart.USA (762-7887) or contact your local dealer directly.

If you have suggestions to improve the site or encounter any problems with the site, please email us at insider@smartusa.com. Please note, the site may undergo changes, delays and updates during the testing phase as we incorporate some of your suggestions. We appreciate your patience. We also ask that while the site is in the testing phase, please do not invite others to join the network at this time – it will be easier for us to make your suggested changes if we have a smaller group doing the testing. Sales: There are 6,159 smart owners in the United States as of April 30, 2008. Daimler AG announces smart USA sales figures the week following the last business day of each month. Sales figures are posted on www.smartusa.com under the media tab/press releases. Check each month if you are interested in how many other smart enthusiasts are on the roads with you!
Safety: The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety announced this month the smart fortwo achieved the highest ratings for front and side crash worthiness. This is fantastic news for smart USA, its customers and future customers. To learn more about the ratings, click here (www.smartusa.com/safety).
Socializing: smart USA officially launched the smart fortwo to lifestyle press in New York City on April 22, 2008 (Earth Day). The event allowed New York City-based press to learn about the smart fortwo in a uniquely branded event in the Big Apple.
