Hello All;
Okay, today on the way to work it started snowing and pretty heavily at that. It wasnt long before I was driving on 1.5 inches of snow
It was the wet and dense snow which stuck to the ground and made a slick coating...
My smart............. handled like absolute crap
The road to work is very up hill/down hill and windy......
The stability control couldn't decide what to do so the 'happy hazard' triangle on the dash flashed almost in sheer panic of having no idea what to do.....
The car slipped side to side in the rear and I had to be super sensitive to the throttle....
Slight application of the brakes going down hill or slowly round a corner resulted in sliding...
The car also forgot completely how to take a corner and I practically had to 'roll' around the corners with zero gas application....
I drive alot; I race motorcycles, I off road and do alsorts of other fun and relatively dangerous things..... driving the smart on the back roads to work in snow was pretty freakin' scary.....
Note - The entire car is stock.
One would gather I need to adjust to it or more likely take the Wrangler back to the road....
For those in snowy areas and only one car (the smart) get used to snow days at home
Cheers
