So my tire pressure light went on this morning....

...on my drive to work. I stopped and did a quick eye check and all the tires looked fine so I got back on the highway and kept driving. I kept trying to reset the light, thinking it must be a glitch, and it wouldn't reset so I decided to pull over at a gas station and do a more thorough check.

Sure enough, I had picked up a screw in the front left! Wasn't going flat quickly and thankfully since my little smart let me know, I had more than enough time to take it to get repaired. Also, since I knew from the board that tire shops don't stock the tire I knew I had to get it taken care of quickly (thanks message board!) I headed to the nearest Just Tires where they did the fix, ogled and asked all the typical questions, they'd never seen a smart there before.

Anyway, got to work 30 minutes late, but still with a smile on my face thanks to my TPMS on the smart! When I told my boss what happened he said "I don't have tire pressure monitoring on my mercedes"

Anyway, just wanted to share a "happy" smart story since we tend to get overwhelmed by the bad stuff. Here's a case where the smart technology did just as it was supposed to do and made me an even happier customer for it! By the way, I picked it up on Sunday, still running on my "French" gas..

funny you should mention that - this happened to me last friday coming home from work! my tpms light was on and went to les schwab (2 blocks from work) and sure enough, i had a screw in the rear left. they wanted me to park it on top of the lift - and the wheelbase was too narrow so they had to jack it up. anywho, as per usual, they removed/repaired at no cost. gotta love schwabbies!
