Some threads are just "gone"?

Why are some threads here 1 minute and you check back and they are just gone the next? Seem's a little odd.

Some threads are advertisements or similar pleas to purchase products or services that are strictly against the terms of use.

Some threads are split in two since the subjects become rather different from the original thread's purpose. Some are sensored to remove namecalling, political references, or other Terms of Service violations.

Some topics are excluded from the site's search functionality but are still present on the forum. Often using google to search the SCOA site is much more effective in finding "lost" threads.

Socks don't go missing from the dryer -- the washer is the culprit. Really! Did you ever check the sock match-ups between wash and dry? (no).

So, go have a look at the washer. Up under the agitator you'll find all the missing socks.

This is also the main reason older washers lack "zest" in the spin cycle - all clogged with socks.

Some threads however, are too thin to go missing in the either the washer or the dryer. Must have just got washed down the drain.
