This auction is not for the car itself, rather for my reservation at the Michigan Smart Dealership in Bloomfield Hills. I have had this reservation for 1 yr (wait list now is longer). The actual cost of the car is about $20,000.

Anyone want to tell the dealer?

YOU CAN'T SELL A RESERVATION. This has been clearly explained multiple times. And to try to get $2500 for a $99 reservation is tacky at best. It's definitely unethical.

This sounds like someone who has put money down on a reservation beyond their $99 and has decided not to follow through with the purchase.

In the past, smart USA cruised eBay looking for this stuff. Don't know if they still do.

I don't think it's mean. I think it's doing the proper, ethical thing.

Yeah, I sent them the link in an e-mail

Not that I wanted to screw the guy selling it, I just don't want the dealer and buyer to be blindsided

Be honest yourself, you know your mad at the guy, this has nothing to do with warning the dealer.... Who cares what a dealer thinks!

I am all for following the rules, I waited the 15 months for mine, but be honest this IS about the seller not the dealer.

No need to since your "reservation" is linked to your driver's license
