steering wheel cover

Being from Scotland I am always after a bargain, so when I was at my local car accesory shop to get some grease to lube the running rails for my roadsters roof, I spotted this wheel cover for a bargain price of £3 in the bargain basket.
I have never liked the feel of the steering wheel as it is too thin and shiney so this cover feels nice in the hand, has anybody else put on covers over there.
Thanks.
El.

I like the leather wrapped feel myself considering I just came off a Toyota made car that had that semi soft plastic coated wheel (not leather). I wouldn't cover up my leather myself but that's just me.

If I could find a Disney Goofy cover, I would use it; otherwise, I will leave it uncovered.

I need to find a good cover - that black steering wheel gets too hot in the summer! I'm looking for something Smart designed specifically for the Smart, but in looking at all the stuff for Smarts it looks like I'll have to go for a cheaper type.

YES YES YES! I looked for one forever and asked everyone, but I finally found one. I could care less for the leather and have covered my seats up as well. I have a, I wouldn't call it fuzzy, but cloth type cover on my wheel. Now when I get in my little incubator my butt doesn't burn from the leather seats and I can actually touch my steering wheel!

Oh and I covered my seats with beautiful $10 each beach towels hooked with small bungees.

headless, I was married in Scotland (Oban). Love it there.
I've noticed gouge in the plastic on my steering wheel (more like a top layer of skin removed) and then another one seems to be starting on another part of the steering wheel. I notice it, but I don't know that anyone else has. If this thing is going to continue to scuff like that, I'm going to need to cover it to keep it looking decent. Did you use a "universal" fit steering wheel cover, or was it made for the Smart (or a range of particular models)?
I think I like the stretch type you have. It's easier to change your mind than if you do the leather wrap around. . .plus my wrapping skills aren't that great.

First off, I love Oban, we nearly lived there when I was a boy, and have been there a few times since, it has'nt changed much.
The steering wheel cover is just a universal one from a chain of car accessory shops here in Britain, you have to try a few on the steering wheel, as although they say one size fits most, they lie, and a lot of them fit on but then slip round as you drive, get one that does'nt slip and it will be a great way of changing the appearance and feel of the steering wheel.
Ellis.
ps, here is a piccy of Oban for you from last year when we went up to the Fatherland.
