Disconnected Systems?

How many systems did he have to disconnect for that little demo?

Let's see...
  • ESP - senses skid or swerving
  • ABS - senses wheel lockup
  • CBC - adjusts brake force when cornering to prevent skidding
None the less, it was cool to watch...thanks for sharing...

Those are some brave souls standing by the side of the track.

Might there be a Hyabusa motor in that smart?

I think he only had to disconnect a few brain synapses. The rest was easy.

Been watching those clips on You Tube since I became interested in the smart car. Really like the ones with the Hayabusa...

I'D personally like to see/insert a v-twin engine, such as a ducati, in a smart. Not only would you get incredible torque, which is much more usable in real-life applications, but the SOUND would be amazing!!!

Garage
Not the first microcar with a motorcycle engine in it, but it is amazing how far we've come since the Isetta.

Note to NHTSA and IIHS - both doors open, car gyrating recklessly, yet occupant still in seat because of SEAT BELT.
