Should not be too hard to install a temp gauge. I have a box full of VW-VDO gauges and sending units. One wire, very simle. Best part is it costs me nothing.

Hi,

I am Joey from Linear Logic. Sorry for any confusion, the ScanGauge does work for the 2008 Smart Car. As of right now we do not have any of the vehicle specific codes for it, when those codes do become available we will be posting them on our website and you can enter them into your ScanGauge. Other then the specific ones, everything else will work great on your vehicles.

Thank you for joining and letting us know.

By codes, do you mean the CEL type codes that one would read on the scan function?

Not mine, found this on the Canadian smart site. He drilled a hole behind the gauge to run the wire. The plug is under the dash to the right of the steering wheel. He mounted it with velcro.
