My wife and I became proud new owners of our pair of smart passions ten days ago - her car is yellow and silver and mine is red and silver. My wife has received a box of rubber bands from one of her employees in case she needs some spares. I may need to resort to putting a sign with polish and a towel on mine asking the parking lot viewers to clean up their nose and finger prints.
I make a 50 miles commute each work day (80% expressway) and very pleased with my ability to stay with and pass some traffic. My first tank of gas was 36 mpg and under $30, which is big change for me as it is about 1/2 of normal cost - despite being premium gas.
I will be working on my garage to set it up to park the two smarts end to end along side their big brother the Honda Pilot.
Sore necks in our area has greatly increased over the last ten days. It would be great to mount side video cameras to record reactions. One day at a stop light, I noticed a lady next to me on the cell phone talking away until she spotted me and my smart - she stopped talking mid-sentence and her mouth opened so wide that I could have driven my smart through it - I had to turn away and laugh my a_ _ off.
Generally, I extremely pleased with my smart. The reaction from most people is very positive with detailed questions resulting in an increased time from parking lot to office or store. A couple of folks have been negative, but they are big truck big car and lots of sheet metal folks, who do not care about the environment, cost of gas, etc., well "to each his own".
