The smart car Road Show is coming to Pittsburgh in August. Do I need to register in advanced to test drive a car or do is it first come first serve in line the day of the event?
I don't know if this varies by location, but it seems all the road shows being held at public places, like outside the Indy Art Museum, will not do reservations - you just show up and wait on line (almost 2 hrs in my case). Those being held at a MB dealerships, I'm not sure. Where's the one in Pittsburgh being held at?
The test-drive in Las Vegas was at the Fashion Show Mall. With four vehicles making the circuit, the wait (no reservation) was less than 10 minutes for me. May have been longer earlier or later.
When you get there, look for a black-roofed tent with the smart logo on it. That's where they will have you sign a waiver, and give you a wrist band so that you can test drive the car.
Get there early. I only had to wait in line for an hour and a half.
