Things that make you say Hmmmmm...

I stopped and got a 20 oz bottle of soda, and tossed it on the passenger seat. A few blocks later, I turned a little to sharply and the bottle rolled off the seat. I tried to grab it and missed (of course) it fell between the seats, bumping the key and (you guessed it) shut off the car. It took me a bit to realize the radio stopped and the motor wasn't running. Luckily there was no traffic and I was on a side street. Had to laugh at that one.

I would have caught it if the seatbelt didn't lock.

Last night at the DQ, some youngster had his picture taken next to my Smart while I was in line at the drive thru.. He didn't even offer me a bite of his ice cream afterwards...

Keep up Panda, This thread is about using your cupholders, Oh is that what their there for?

If you want that Big bottle closer and you dont have a passenger then stick it between the pasenger seat Lever forward back lever and the center console.

Thanks Panda for some inspiration

I always seem to hit my key with my knee when I am backing out of a parking space or reaching over to choke one of my kids, not really just a joke, I wait till I get home where I can really do the job, But I have even considered getting a key made that is not a remote and cutting off the top so I can avoid a dangerous situation.

When I reach for the cup holder area, the seatbelt doesn't always let me lean forward and strangles me. I haven't figured out why it locks at times and not at other times. I wish the cup holders were mounted about where the shifter is.

Maybe I should just get the backpack like LAMINI says.

My experience is that when decelerating, or if I move forward too fast, then the seat belt will lock. This is not unique to the smart, it happened to my previous car too.
