Things you need in a Smart

I've been reading threads on here on how to 'fix' certain things yourself if you get stuck somewhere on the highway. While I think this is a great idea, some of us don't have the right 'tools' to fix it ourselves.

Any suggestions as to what is needed in the spare compartment of our Smart?

Wrench? Screwdriver? Silicone Spray? First aid kit? Tire iron? Any other ideas?

It would be a good idea to have a 'Smart car kit' for everyone to have.

spare tire

Looks like the most useful item could be a full sized spare tire mounted on a rim. Just to keep in the garage should you ever have a flat or bent rim.
seems like they are in short supply at dealers and tire shops.

And small wallet/glove box little card with some useful phone numbers (dealership, smart's help line, local tow, etc...) in case your cellphone dies too and you have to call around.
At bad times, things tend to pile up.

A spare tire would be golden. I wonder if I could attach one to the roof of the car or to the back of it like a CRV or something.

I got a roadside emergency kit from Sears last November for $9.99.

Kit includes:
Battery cables
Road reflector
Flashlight
Pliers
Screwdrivers
Small First Aid Kit

I then added a bigger First Aid kit in a small bag to satisfy my phobic spouse who collects first aid kits like some people collect Smart memorabilia . You should of seen the smile on her face when I showed her my factory kit for my old '83 Mercedes (just the big empty box for her to fill)

Kit includes:
Alcohol wipes
Variety of headache remedies from Aspirin to Motrin to Tylenol
Bandaids of all shapes and sizes
Small scissors
First Aid tape
Tums
(I know there is more but I can't remember)

Lastly, what everyone should keep with their car at all times....

Absorber (you can use your own chamois equivalent)

This kit only takes up half of the tailgate cubby (See pic here)

Next move is to program roadside assistance into my phone.
