Can this be? Ours is black on black. The others we've recently seen parked on the street regularly: red with a black cell and the third - white with a grey cell. Don't want to name the exact street, but we are south of Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks, California. Are you folks on the forum here, just curious?

I'm in Redondo Beach CA, and I've seen 3 others too: a black and white Saturday at Redondo Library, a tomato red at Redondo Union HS, and one metallic blue and black like mine, lady driver, but with spoke-y wheel covers.
Please stop reminding me that you live in paradise.
All 3 of those Smarts are owned by my family.
I do have several converts who have put down their $99 because of me - oddly enough. So the town will have a quite a few later. I know of one person who is chomping at the bit for an orphan so it may be 4 soon.
As far as my town of 800 - I've yet to figure out how to mount a gun rack on the back window of the Smart.

Nice to kind of meet you. Now that I'm driving again (today was the first day of driving after my hip replacement 5 weeks ago) you might see me around more. About an hour ago we were just out and we drove by another red smart in Sherman Oaks, but this one had chrome rims. The Universal City smart dealer must be doing well!
Ed S, I'm the other blue/black in Redondo and one of the goofy owners that waves and honks. Let me apologize now.
Haven't actually seen you on the road yet, although I've seen a couple of bumblebees. They are multiplying at an alarming rate but we are still rare enough to get the stares and smiles.

I work down in Commerace (35 miles each way) so plenty of freeway driving. The smart handles it nicely. How's the car feel with a hip replacement and bouncing you around?
