The dealer tinted my windows at the time of delivery. I don't have any problem seeing at night and I don't think it's a really dark tint, but I like it.
I got my smart tinted, 35% side / 20% rear, last week, and it looks sweet. Pictures below...
Note the difference of light based on the angle. From the front, the side windows are dark. From 9 o'clock, the view is about 50% and from anything 7-9 o'clock, it's clear as day looking in. The third picture is from an officer's point of view if I ever got pulled over... the steering wheel is crystal clear. Same offset but from the front, it's dark. Not sure how the company pulled it off but I'm impressed. Also, the rear window has a 20% transmissive silver reflective tint on it. It's called "Platinum Plus" from Llumar or something, and claims 40-60% heat rejection. I can feel the difference.
Mine are 25% sides and 5% "Limo Black" rear. A little hard to see through rear at night but with the ridiculus rear view mirror I had given up on that anyway!
