SWEEEEET!! Is your winshield tinted too? Mine's scheduled for next Saturday, and I'll have a ~6" strip at top of windshield, all 20% grade. I like 'em dark, too.

When I went to get my windows tinted I was told by the tinting company that I could get the windows tinted at any percentage that I wanted but "naturally" they would only give me a certificate of being in compliance with my State tint laws if I only put on the legal tint that was allowed. I got the legal tint. By the way there was also another person there who had gotten a ticket for having too dark of tint and was having their illegal tint removed and legal tint applied before their court date.
One last point is: Say your State allows you to put very dark tint on your vehicle but when you go to a different State say the legal tint in that State only allows a lighter tint then you could be subject to a ticket even if your car is registered out of State and you are only passing through. Something to think about.

The "fix it" ticket runs about $170ish plus removal.
Today, it just looks too kuel!
Some states do allow full tints for unmarked police cars, PI's and people with cataracts.

Don't think anyone was preaching just sharing which is what this forum is all about.
You certainly can do anything you like, even park with your wheels 19+ inches away from the curb - it's all good.
Nice to know that there are still police officers in CA who are willing to work both sides of the law.
Still looks kuel!
