Tire Pressure light

I have a 2 week old Cabrio and the tire pressure sensor light came on. Checked the tires, fronts at 29 and rears at 36. Any ideas?

Two possibilities.
1) the original setting was off and you need to reset the sytem (see your manual)
2) one sensor is "bad." These TPMS sensors are pretty fragile.

If you try resetting the system and it still reports an error, talk to the dealer. A bad TPMS sensor should be replaced under warranty.

When you get the light always check your tire pressures, if normal press and hold the TPMS button until light goes off, if pressure are not normal adjust tire pressures and reset light by pressing and holding the TPMS button.

Make sure your tire gauge is accurate. I had all kinds of problems until I went to a digital tire gauge.

Mine came with 40+ psi in the tires. great for milage but lousey for a comfortable ride.

All the info is in the OpMan, pgs 194-198. The TPMS re-set button is on the right side of the button bank under the radio (the tire and ! symbol).

It looks like a tire cut in half, kind of U shaped and matches the light on the left side of the instrument display. Button is on the button bank below the radio.
