Thanks all for the positive words.

Ken, you should feel responsible! JUST KIDDING! Only one person to blame for this one - that would be Garret, he did my 2.0 upgrade and that's why I had it out on the road. JUST KIDDING AGAIN!

It was just one of those things, just like going to the wrong restaurant in Kissimmiee and getting sick. Stuff happens. Roll with it. If we wouldn't of of come back early and I wouldn't of shown up to work today. If I wouldn't of shown up to work today than a couple of hundred people would of been out of luck and without my guidance - they are plenty happy I got sick and came back home early.

As far as the damage, I'll be doing 16 hour days at work the next couple of days so I'll see if the scratches buff out later on towards the weekend or Fridayish. Seems like everything else has gone back together pretty tight. I'm still quite happy how it held up considering how big the bird was and am truly thankful it didn't make it to the windshield.

Either way, I was told Kermit died today anyway. Apparently Miss Piggy wasn't perfectly healthy and he got the flu. Ok, that was poor taste.

Well it happened again. My smart killed another animal. 2 days ago I hit a possum. He was scurrying across the road when he changed his mind and turned around and went right into my path. Not sure of the damage to him but I'm pretty sure it ended up being fatal. He cracked the paint just slightly on my front valance, not too bad.

Wife was just about in tears over it all even though I tried to explain that they are like really giant rats. She didn't even respond to the joke about turning around and picking it up for my grandmother who apparently ate possum during the depression. Seems the economy hasn't gotten that bad yet, we're not eating roadkill.

You could put that roadkill in a pita after you cook it but PETA might now light that.

I had a year like that back when I had my Safari minivan. Hit 3 Deer in 2 months time. It did a lot more damage and the repair shop wanted to put little deer with a red x through them for each one I hit. I had a barn swallow bounce off my helmet when I was riding the motorcycle to work. the guy behind me couldn't stop laughing.
