Yes, a miracle. My husband reserved his smart last night. I know it sounds rather dull on these forums. Nothing extraordinary, plenty of enthusiasts here. But you need to know my husband and his smart history. When I reserved a year ago, on the first day of open reservations, he laughed at me. I know it sounds absurd, but it's true. Called the car a @#$% box and said I'd be crushed in it. All year he ridiculed me and tried to talk me out of it. He bought a 3500 dooley truck in January and professed his love.
I got my smart a week ago. He's been in it everyday, giving an excuse each time that we needed to run any number of errands, the truck was low on gas, he wanted to be sure I was getting the hang of the transmission. He waves at onlookers, answers everyone's questions before I can even open my mouth. He went to the Rose Bowl drive up with me on Sunday and you guessed it - he ordered his black cabrio last night. We have a true convert, ladies and gentlemen and I have been witness to a miracle.;)

Was your husband the person that, when I asked the group if they wanted to form a group and everyone said "YES"..... your husband said as loudly as all the others "No"?
With the change of heart, He is as welcome, if not even a liitle more so) than the rest of us.
Every time I saw him Sunday, he was talking a mile a minute and the other people seemed to be enjoying him every bit as much as he was enjoying being there.
I am pleasantly impressed. PM me and let's exchange phone #s. Linda and I would like to have coffee with you both.
Having two Smarts is a little like having twin beds. You'll both get a better nights sleep, but things will be different. You can always wave at each other when you pass on the highway.
of course it's always nice when you both go to the same church.....
Congratulations.

Reason: having fun
Skyz, what a cute story! You should be proud that he still has the capacity to learn new tricks and at his age. Nah...he is just a very welcomed convert to the smart cult that we all love and enjoy. Let him continue his excuses so he can drive the car (but only when you don't need it). Thanks again for the LOL, Regina

No, Donald, you are thinking of the Westfields, who, by the way, already have two smarts, a yellow and a blue! He did have a blast at the drive up though. I think that's what nudged him right over the edge into "enthusiast" territory.
