The "Truth About Smart" UK Website

I don't know if this was already posted, but Autoblog was tipped off to this very entertaining UK promo site called "Truth About Smart" (truthaboutsmart.co.uk). Be sure to check out the "Safety" section.

that is GREAT! did you see the 'configuration' section? man, have they got the accessories!!! something like 3 different wheels, the chrome grille and fog light bezels.....not to mention the Brabus 'stuff'.

what's the difference in pounds to us dollars? the Passion i 'configured' came out at 8700 Pounds. i roughly figured that to be $12,400 in us dollars. what a deal!!!

mmmmmm, I think you figured Euros. It sure wasn't GBP!

8,700.00 GBP = 17,141.17 USD
United Kingdom Pounds United States Dollars
1 GBP = 1.97025 USD 1 USD = 0.507550 GBP

Or in other words, just double the GBP to get the dollar price. Has seriously curtailed buying stuff for my collection from the UK. *sigh*

I really enjoyed that site! I think I'm going to capture that video. It's easier to make believers out of people showing them the video, especially of the crash test, but the passenger and cargo videos are compelling, too.

BTW, the pound is about $2, so you're looking more like $17,150 at current conversion. Which makes ours a better deal.

yea, you're probably right. i'm not 'up' on all the currency other than US DOLLARS. that's the only one that REALLY affects ME!

but that would make sense.....i pretty well loaded up the Passion, so $17K would be close.

thanks for the correction!
