Turn Signal & seat belt sharing sound

Picked up my 2009 Passion Coupe last month, and noticed something strange.

If I remove the seat belt before I stop the engine and use the turn signal, the sound of the turn signal goes off. It's as if it can only generate one sound at a time.

I've noticed this as well, and from what I've learned about the SAM it has a speaker on it, and must only be able to play 1 tone at a time.

Or it does this because the car feels the seatbelt warning is more important than making the clicking sound so it wants to make sure you put that belt back on...

Why would you use a turn signal while Parked?

This could get interesting

That could happen if, for example, you make a right turn into your driveway with your signal on, park and unbelt before turning off the engine. The turn signal doesn't always turn off, which has happened to me. I haven't seen (or maybe just not noticed) the turn signal/seat belt noise thing the OP talks about, but like I said, maybe I just never noticed.

I have had instances where the seatbelt locks and I can't turn around to look behind me while backing up into a parking spot. Thus the turn signal is on and seatbelt is removed.

Same thing if you do not put the seatbelt on, start driving with an immediate turn.

OT: Speaking of the turn signal clicker ... is there any way to increase its volume?
