Unexpectedly smart rainy day feature

I had no idea that the windshield wipers were rain-sensing... and in reverse, too! The wipers started and stopped as the rain did the same. And as soon as I went to back up, the rear wiper did its thing. Sheesh! By the way, the front wiper blades are so cool, and it's great to unfold them and stand right in front of the windshield while cleaning it effortlessly from dead-center.

If it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck... it might be a smart.

Rain sensing wipers

Are they part of the comfort package? Or standard equip?

Wow that sound cool... I guess I won't get to see much of that action here in Arizona...although I do have the rain-sensing.. Remember we have the dry heat here.. So I hope the air conditioner work great when summer comes… which should be in a few months where we’ll start experiencing 90+ degrees temperatures and from there it nothing but up to the 100’s for 5 month straight. Last year we broke records as how many 100 day’s we had.. Talking to some people about the air conditioner in the Smart they tell me that with a small space area inside the car to cold down that it does very well in Arizona.. we will see, along with the performance as well.

Enjoy!!!

I'd heard about that, glad to see the feature stayed

Now if only the passenger side mirror tilted down upon reversing in order to assist seeing the curb when parallel parking, that is one of my favorite little comfort features.
