One more question about rain sensors....

So the auto rain sensors turn the wipers on and off. But how does this relate to the on/off on the stalk and speed control setting. Does it automatically go into the intermittant speed sensitive setting??

On CsC, a few people have raised their seats by putting them on some sort of "blocks" to give better height. Check out www.clubsmartcar.com and search on their site for more info. BTW, I'm 5' 3" & 3/4ths and the height and steering wheel were perfect. I was more concerned about how far forward the seat would angle. For some reason, I now like sitting straight up and not angled back at all.

Thanks, might be worth looking into although I'd wonder how that would hold up in the event of an accident. I've seen many people driving with the wheel even higher then it is for me, but i just don't like it even mildly high, want to be completely clear of it in my vision and arms lower for ergonomics.

SmartCard, I haven't used the rain sensing wipers on the Smart, but if it is anything like I have used on other cars you still can increase the rate of speed with the controls and can turn the auto sensing on or off.

I haven't yet had rain sensing wipers. I'm looking forward to it because we get so much non-rain percipitation that adjustable intermittent wipers can't handle it well.

Yesterday's steady rain made me wonder how well the Smart would do on the highway, particularly amidst the drivers who seem to give all California drivers a bad rep. (They speed up in the rain to make up for lost time.)
