I was wondering if anyone else up here in the northeast would bring this up.... we use those snobrums as well, in fact I have used them on cars that actually have paint jobs and there has never been a problem with scratching or denting. In my experience, it sure beats using your fist to break the ice

Key here being the word Snow. Yes Sno brooms work great as a safe way to gently pull or push Snow from a car.

Sno Pro Commercial Grade Snow Broom

No mention of Ice removal.

Warming up the car so it can heat the surface of the glass and body panels would make it easier to remove. Then one could use just a regular windshield scraper to remove the ice.

I got my smart from this Dealer too. They have been good to work with. I've also used those snow brooms similar to how that guy did. There may have been a couple wacks that were a bit rough but most looked like they wouldn't flex or stress the body or roof panels. I wouldn't like him to beat my car but I probably will at some point in my little car's life. oops....
