This article was in USAWeekend today. It highlighted what the author considered "green" vehicles; ranging from a $6,200 Vespa scooter to a $106,000 Lexus 600h L with several others in between those prices. And of course, smart was no where to be found.

The print article mentions these cars besides the scooter and Lexus. Mercedes GL320 BlueTec $59,000 (diesel & rated at 23mpg highway) the Honda Civic GX, $25,000 (Runs on natural gas using a $4,000 add-on fuel station to your home gas line) and only 100 miles per charge.

I can't believe the author could overlook the smart car, especially for these choices.

UNITE! Our little Smarts are GREEN - nothing compares. Price, safety, mileage, . . recycling - a true low carbon footprint. Those celebs won't be caught in a Smart - the paparazzi wouldn't follow and the yellow press would only ridicule. $$$$ keeps them in the news.

The wind is shifting - as we increase in number . . . . (noticed they keep commenting on our passion and devotion to our little cars.)

That quote is from the BLOG. The print article had none of that above. And the original print article author is Jeffery Ressner. Big difference between the blog and what the newspaper carried. . .
