I did ** "AGNT-99" for the Smart and "Twisty" for the MINI. (Already have WRITTR for the Audi TT).

Arizona is the same, you have to assign it to a VIN. I assigned it to my PT Cruiser and will move it when my smart arrives (GTSMART)

Ok you have to buy the plate in Texas. When the dealer gets your regular plates in , pick them up and take them in and exchage them for your vanity plates. Exchage fee $1.50. No other way to do it.

In West Virginia

In WV, you have to register it to a vehicle that already has a plate, so I registered my 1994 truck with "SMARTCAR", so I can have it.

I got mine reserved in California before I got my VIN. It takes about 3 months before you go to the the DMV and pick them up. At that point they want to know what car its going on.

Here's how we do it

In Washington state, you can go online at DOL.WA.GOV and check to see if a plate you want is available.

If you want to get one before you have your smart, you must have it assigned to another vehicle you own then transfer it to the smart when the time comes.
