Video of fortwo's coming off the Transport!

Hi,

I had the unique opportunity of capturing video of the first Smart Fortwo’s coming off the transport at our new Smart Center Milwaukee WI.

It was really nice to see our precious little cargo being delivered in a closed in trailer instead of the usually open frame semi-trailer.

Thanks... I think we're the only one to have that coooool 5 story tower of Smarts. Do you know of any other (US) dealer that sports the tower?

BTW I can't believe this forum doesn't support uploading pics to our posts... I wonder why not. I'd share some pics of the tower here too.

I like the pan shot later in the video of the Hummer dealership next door. How many of the folks present in this video are actual employees versus smart enthusiasts/stalkers?

Also, how many vehicles were these transports capable of hauling?

Pardon my ignorance, but are the smart towers operational in as much they can load and unload cars quickly via an elavator?

Don, excellent video. Thanks man! Uploading pics? Just link your address of each pic surrounded by

Some web sites may not let you hot link a pic but if they do that's howe it's done. You can upload into our gallery and link them from there too.

Some paperwork I saw (I think it was spdickey's find) talked about the smart towers. Apparently, any dealer can get one - they have to be approved or such though.

It's a cruel winter in Wisconsin with a below zero weekend. It's about this time every year that I want to fly south for a few weeks. A warm spot is seeing all those new cars getting unloaded.

I wonder how long the Hummer dealer right next to the new smart center will be able to stay open. I wonder if they get any business.
